About YouthCore

Welcome to YOUTHCORE.CA

This website is all about young people in the Greater Victoria area connecting, learning and enjoying our communities in safe and positive ways. This site is full of information - so much in fact that we have a few options for you to find stuff.

You can see things (1) by Date on the calendar, (2) through pictures and place on the map, or (3) by specific topics, needs and interests with our programs database.

The YouthCore.ca portal receives over 500,000 hits annually, and over 33,000 pages are accessed monthly (as of July 2010). The success of YouthCore.ca is shared by the youth and youth-serving community of Greater Victoria. For support in uploading your own program information, contact bchc[at]bchealthycommunities.ca

This site is still growing too! We want to know what you like, don't like, or think we could do better.

What We Do

YouthCore is a really cool project with lots of different opportunities and initiatives for youth.

What is YouthCore?
• A youth engagement program focused on building a wide range of community capacity and youth leadership opportunities
• We work with youth up to 30 years of age
• We are the home of the Youth Service Provider Network and creators of the http://www.YouthCore.ca and http://www.YouthCoreProgram.ca Online Communications Portals for Youth
• We also support collaborative and partnership models that allow individuals to work across sectors on innovative projects
• In the past year we have engaged directly with over 1000 youth in Greater Victoria, and trained 588 youth in Community Youth Asset Mapping

NEW: We now provide Youth Engagement Workshops for local organizations, service providers, institutions and businesses. Connect with us to learn more.
