Project Respect
Location:
Project Respect is a group of youth and adults who work together to provide workshops, information, and resources on preventing sexualized violence. Using diverse media, interactive activities, and facilitated discussions, we encourage youth to envision alternatives based on a consent and positive sexuality model of sexual rights and responsibilities. Contact us to host a workshop, young women's group, young men's group, or social action campaign in your school or youth group.
Project Respect also has a Youth Social Action team called Rhizome. Rhizome works to create community based action to end sexualized, colonial, and gender-based violence, and all other intersecting forms of violence. They create collaborative community projects and actions to address the injustices they witness and experience in their day to day lives.
Project Respect is an initiative of the Victoria Women's Sexual Assault Centre. The Centre's services include counselling and support for survivors of sexualized violence. A confidential and anonymous crisis & information line is available 24 hours a day: 250-383-3232
Project Respect is located at #511 - 620 View Street!
